King David praised God in 1 Chronicles 29.10-19. In the Beacon Bible Commentary, R.L. Sawyer suggested five ways David glorified God in his prayer, as:
- the Lord of all creation, 11;
- the Giver of all good, 12;
- the Owner of all wealth, 13-14;
- the Hope of our eternal destiny, 15;
- the Judge of every heart, 17.
Sawyer described this prayer as “one of the finest prayers in the Old Testament and certainly on a par with Solomon’s dedicatory prayer for the Temple”.
