"Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword" (Matt. 10:34).
Ours is a story of war.
There have been wars between families, clans, cities, territories, nations.
There is a war against truth, and the nature of reality.
There have been wars between religious groups.
There have been wars between groups within the same religion.
There are wars between individuals in the same religious gatherings.
We are at war within ourselves.
There is very little peace.
All wars correlate to the distance of the heart from God.
The closer one is to God, the more peace will prevail.
The ancient Romans brought peace via sword.
Jesus brings Peace via Sword.
The Sword cuts the noise, the lies, the posturing, and the pride.
With Jesus, we are cut, and peace comes (Rom. 5:1).
We have Peace within.
Peace with fellow man.
Having Peace, the old fight ends.
Having Peace, the new fight begins.
Here a little, there a little, until He returns.
