Sovereign Lord,
Save us quickly from the evil one,
Else we die and lose all hope.
We are powerless to save ourselves.
You are our high tower and shield;
Look down upon us in tender mercy.
Remember your promise to your people;
You are faithful, you do not forget.
Make your Spirit flow among us,
Your Son be present in power and authority.
Speak your Word to shine your light
Upon our faces, within our souls,
That we might see the way forward,
And soundly step upon the path
In full confidence of your welcome.
We believe! Help our unbelief!
Receive us, O Lord, with welcome arms.
We ask in Jesus’ Name ─ Amen!
