Uncertain Plans
Uncertain plans and limited vision,
So little control, so little we see;
We lack, foremost, that bold decision,
To throw the mountain into the sea.
Into hands that hold the universe
We cast our lives and trust our souls.
Our hearts in grace we fully immerse,
In God who every hour controls.
O Lord of lights, the Ancient of Days,
Protect your people, and glorify,
To do your will in all your ways,
Confess and on your name rely.
Hear quickly, Lord, our fervent pleas:
To you belong the power and plan;
Send forth your word upon the seas
To the woeful world of sinful man.
