I will sing

It must be a dour life that cannot acknowledge God’s wonderful creation. To think of God’s wisdom as Creator causes great joy, trust, and praise.

I will sing to Yahweh all of my life. I will sing praises to my God while I exist. May my thoughts please Him. I am so happy in Yahweh. Psalm 104.33-34 IEB.

The text above appears near the end of the 35-verse psalm. This anonymous work surveys all God has created and all he continues to do as he causes the seasons to pass, the animals to survive, and men to find strength.

Creation is a precision instrument designed to give God pleasure, v. 31. He continues to create and renew, v. 30. It leads to the great crescendo, occurring for the first time in the book of Psalms: “Praise Yah!”

Are you singing today?
