To read the Bible in a year, read First Samuel 10-12.
Samuel explained why he poured oil on Saul’s head, and kissed him, saying, “Is it not because the LORD has anointed you commander over His inheritance?” (1Samuel 10:1). Saul started humble, but became arrogant. However, the Lord did originally want Saul to lead, to take command of the kingdom of Israel. That did not give him license to become arrogant, but God wants some people in positions of leadership, and they should not resist God’s will. Once in that position, lead.
Have you resisted leading? Think whether you have resisted God’s will.
