Ready

THERE IS COMING a day that won’t be followed by another day…Are you ready…?
There is coming a day when this earth, and all that is in it will be burned up and destroyed…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when all that you have been taught about the comingof Christ will culminate with the actual event…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when your beliefs and those of your friends with whom you disagreed will be tested…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when your faith will be transformed into sight…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when sins that have not been covered by the blood of Christ will be revealed and reckoning will commence…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when your opportunities to have obeyed the gospel will be all be past…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when you and everyone around you will be judged, each one according to his/her own works…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when heaven and hell won’t be just future possibilities, but stark realities…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when the dead shall rise and your loved ones who died in the Lord will be waiting to be reunited with you…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when all of your talk about earthly things “not meaning so much” will be validated…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when those burdens that are pressing so hard upon you will be lifted…Are you ready?
There is coming a day when the path you are now walking is seen by all to be what it truly is…Are you ready? (Lance Cordle)
KneEmail: “Therefore, you must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Matthew 24:44, ESV)

Time

TIME-PROPHECIES WERE to serve as cumulative proofs from age to age, of the inspiration of the Bible…
They were to take the place of living prophets and miracle workers, in the ages after those ceased. Miracles could be seen only by a few any time. Fulfilled prophecy is a miracle of mind that may be seen by all, as age after age adds that measure of fulfillment then due (A.M. Morris, The Prophecies Unveiled, Preface, vii).
Thus, fulfilled prophecy serves to strengthen our faith in God’s holy Word, but it can also be an effective tool in converting those outside of Christ; especially in strengthening their belief in the Bible as being of divine origin.
Prophecies are found throughout the Bible, and concern many people and events. Bible prophecies often consist of minute details of events far in the future. Their fulfillment is clear, not equivocal or ambiguous. Since many were fulfilled hundreds of years after they were given, no one can deny that they could not have been of human origin, and therefore must come from God.
There are said to be 333 such prophecies in the Old Testament, which tell of the coming Messiah. (Walter Swain)
KneEmail: “But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:18-19).

Fulfilled

MATHEMATICIAN PETER W. Stoner, calculated the odds of one man’s accidentally fulfilling eight Old Testament prophecies (Mic. 5:2; Mal. 3:1; Zec. 11:12, 13; 13:6; Isa. 53:7; Psa. 22:16…)
In his book, Science Speaks, he describes the method and formula. His conclusion is that the odds of one man’s accidentally fulfilling eight Old Testament prophecies are 1 in 1032, which would be equal to 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. To illustrate the probability, he said imagine the earth covered 120 feet deep in silver dollars; that would take 1021, or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 silver dollars. Having painted one silver dollar red, blindfold a man, and let him walk until he wants to stop, have him reach down, choose one silver dollar, remove the blindfold, and in his hand is the one painted red. Those are the odds of one man’s accidentally fulfilling eight Old Testament prophecies. Jesus fulfilled over 300 prophecies. (W. Timothy Wilkes, Sr.)
