“If your friends jumped off a cliff, would you?”
People have asked this question for generations without realizing the answer is obvious. Of course they would jump because countless people seem to believe the laws of nature don’t apply to them.
They’re convinced it won’t happen to them no matter how much the evidence mounts.
“That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9, NKJV).
God’s patience with the stupidity of mankind is beyond our comprehension. We keep running into walls wondering why it hurts. Cause and effect is real and will never go away as long as time exists. Nothing will change that, certainly not naiveté.
Sin has undeniable consequences (Romans 3:23; Revelation 20:11-15). We pretend God is soft and that we can manipulate our doctrines so consequences are erased. Don’t be fooled. The laws of spiritual cause and effect are unchangeable (Ezekiel 18:19-23).
Delusion is equal to failure. We can repent or we can perish (Luke 13:3-5). Cause and effect are very real in the physical and the spiritual realm (Galatians 6:7) and in the end we must all pay the price of obedience or disobedience.
