Twelve men

Numbers are important to God, such as the number seven, which I show on my web site,, and another number is twelve.
In the first forty-three verses of Numbers chapter one, the Lord had Moses list the leaders of each of the tribes of Israel, then the Bible says,

These are the ones who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, with the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each one representing his father’s house (Numbers 1:44).

Later there would be twelve apostles, who then enlarge spiritual Israel to include more than just the tribes these twelve men in the days of Moses represented.

God wants things and people numbered, because He is a God of order.
