Jesus silenced the Sadducees, and when the Pharisees heard it, they thought they could do a better job arguing with Jesus,
But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together (Matthew 22:34).
You know the rest of the story. The Pharisees could not silence Him by argument either, so they sought the violent treatment, but they had no idea how that turned against them, and how Jesus saved anyone in the world who believes and obeys Him, and that He has more followers than they could ever have imagined.
I do not recommend arguing with Jesus, for you will lose every time.
