Could you keep quiet about the transfiguration?

Jesus took Peter, James, and John up to a mountain and there the Lord was transfigured, and suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared, talking with the Lord. However, the Lord did not want everyone to know about this incident just yet,

Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying,

“Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead” (Matthew 17:9).

They evidently obeyed the Lord, but later they proclaimed it, for that is the reason we have it in our Bibles, especially in Matthew where we have just read about it. Some things must be kept secret for a while, but other things have to be proclaimed. Can you keep secret things, secret, and the public things, public?
