Joseph was in Egypt for twenty-two years, and while there his family back in the Land of Canaan started to grow. Moses shows Judah marrying and having three sons by his wife, but two of those sons died, and eventually his wife died (Genesis 38:2-12).
Later, which we will talk about next year, Judah had two more sons.
Jacob thought Joseph was dead, but his brothers knew he was alive, although they did not know had happened to him after they sold him.
Nevertheless, life, both good and bad things, went on without Joseph, even as life shall continue after we are gone. Let us therefore, be sure to make the most of our lives until we leave this earth, because our works will follow us (Revelation 14:13).
