Trouble in the making

Jacob loved Joseph, but that does not mean his brothers loved him,

“This is the history of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. And the lad was with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to his father. Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors. But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him” (Genesis 37:2–4).

Joseph told on his brothers, and his father made him a special coat, which all just enraged the brothers against Joseph, so much so that they hated him, and found it impossible to speak words of peace to him.
Now remember this family would grow and bring the Messiah into the world. God can use anyone He so desires to bring blessings.

Therefore, let us be careful how we treat others, for someday we may owe them a great debt for something wonderful they have done for us.
