Jesus and the angels

Starting at verse 4 of Hebrews 1, the writer began to make some awesome declarations about Jesus being greater than the angels.
First, what do you think of angels? Are they not wonderfully great creatures? Whenever one appeared to someone in the Bible, the person gave that angel great reverence, sometimes too much reverence and the angel had to stop it, because angels are not God.
Yet, in verse 5, the writer said this of Jesus,

“For to which of the angels did He ever say:

‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”?

And again:

‘I will be to Him a Father,
And He shall be to Me a Son’?”
(Hebrews 1:5)

Those things were never said to any angel. Therefore, Jesus is not an angel. Who then can He be?
