Dealing treacherously with the Lord

Here are some things that we do not want to hear about the city in which we live, which the Lord said about Jerusalem,

‘Go up on her walls and destroy, but do not make a complete end. Take away her branches, for they are not the LORD’s. For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously with Me,’ says the LORD” (Jeremiah 5:10-11).

The Lord decided to punish Jerusalem for dealing with Him treacherously.

If your city deals with the Lord treacherously, what can you do? You can pray relentlessly for it. You can live righteously. You can do as many good works as possible.

All these things will catch people’s attention, and turn the heart of the city toward the Lord.
