When God is ready

Since God exists, He can communicate to man by visions, which God did with Jeremiah,

“Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ And I said, ‘I see a branch of an almond tree’” (Jeremiah 1:11).

J. M. Fuller in Barnes’ Notes says, “The word rendered ‘almond’ comes from a root signifying to be awake; and as the almond blossoms in January, it seems to be awake while other trees are still sleeping, and therefore is a fit emblem of activity.”
What happened next in Jeremiah flows naturally from that thought,

“Then the LORD said to me, ‘You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word’” (Jeremiah 1:12).

God does not procrastinate, nor does He take a poll of the people, nor does He conduct marketing research to find out when He should act, but according to His will, and His timing He does whatever He desires to do.
Let us just make sure that we are in His grace when that time comes.
