Always remember that Jesus shall return, letting such memory lead you to a life in the spirit, not in the flesh,
“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him” (1 Thessalonians 5:9, 10).
Are you a Christian? Have you repented of your past life, confessed your belief that Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God, and have you been baptized into Christ?
If so, you have been appointed to obtain salvation, not wrath, but Paul wrote these words because we can so live that we revert to our past lives, and if we do, we shall obtain wrath.
Let us, therefore, put off our former life and live in Christ.
