Do what Is honorable
Paul did not want the Corinthian Christians to do evil, but listen to his motive for it,
“Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though we may seem disqualified” (2 Corinthians 13:7).
When the Corinthians refrained from evil, it certainly made Paul look good, because he taught them how to live. However, that was not why he taught them such, rather he wanted them to do what is honorable, even if he appeared to be disqualified as a teacher.
