Jesus chose Paul to be an apostle, an official representative on earth of heaven, yet, some in the early church considered him a fool. He said to those people,
“I say again, let no one think me a fool. If otherwise, at least receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little” (2 Corinthians 11:16).
If they insisted that he was a fool, then he merely requested that they still receive him even as a fool. He said further, “What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as it were, foolishly, in this confidence of boasting” (2 Corinthians 11:17).
The Lord did not think Paul a fool, but the Lord does want us to receive one another and that was all Paul requested. How are you at receiving others?
