Psalm 136 repeats in all of its twenty-six verses that God’s mercy endures forever. In verses 23-25, the psalmist said,
“Who remembered us in our lowly state, for His mercy endures forever; and rescued us from our enemies, for His mercy endures forever; who gives food to all flesh, for His mercy endures forever” (Psa 136:23-25).
He remembers our lowly state, He rescues us from our enemies, and He gives food to all flesh. He does not have to do these things, but He does them because He is a God of mercy. What can you add to the list?
