The sons of Korah rightly praised the Lord, saying,
“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge” (Psa 48:1-3).
See the inseparable connection between the Lord and Mount Zion, which Hebrews 12:22-24 connects to the church. What earthly Zion was to the Lord during the days of Israel’s glory on the earth, so now the church is to the Lord during the days of the Lord’s glory in this dispensation.
The Lord is great, and the existence of the church, purchased with His own blood, shows His ceaseless greatness, and the fact that the church is open to all people of the earth, magnifies His greatness even more.
Let us praise the Lord.
