The motive behind rage against God

Elihu said of Job,

“And now, because [God] has not punished in His anger, nor taken much notice of folly, Job opens his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without knowledge” (Job 35:15-16).

Whether Job had those exact thoughts, I do not know, but I do believe that Elihu was on to something, and that is, God withholds the fullness of His wrath for now, and the world uses that as an opportunity to speak against God.

How do you conduct your life during God’s silence and mercy?
