Great fear

A husband and wife agreed to lie about their contribution to the church, and the Lord took the lives of both of them for their lie. Look at the result,

“Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things” (Acts 5:10-11).

This event showed that the Lord knows what is going on in our lives, and that sooner or later, He requires an accounting of it. In this case, when He took their lives, it caused people in the church and out of the church to fear, truly to have great fear, for you do not lie to the Lord and get away with it.

Let us repent of all lies that we have told.
