The endless amazement of the miraculous age

Peter and John healed a lame man, and the man started walking and praising God, and everyone at the temple saw this, although not knowing the involvement of Peter and John, and the people recognized the man,

“Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him” (Acts 3:10).

Jesus had done countless miracles in the past three and a half years, doing things just like what Peter and John had done, nevertheless, the people still gushed with wonder and amazement when they saw a lame man healed. That was how miracles affected people in the first century, because the miracles were not fake, nor was it merely the emotions of the people giving them momentary strength to overcome a handicap, but it was a true restoration of the human body.
