When it is not a time for peace
Jehu drove furiously to Jezreel, and the king of Israel sent messengers to Jehu to find out whether he came in peace (2 Kings 9.17-19). Jehu made each messenger join him, for it was not a time of peace. Then Jehu and King Joram had this confrontation,
“Now it happened, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, ‘Is it peace, Jehu?’ So he answered, ‘What peace, as long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many?’” (2 Kings 9:20- 22).
While the king of Israel fought against the God of Israel, and against His people, it was not a time of peace. What does this say about the Western governments of the world that are currently secularizing their societies and are fighting against God and His truth? The Lord shall bring down those governments in time, according to His own way, if they do not repent.
