What would you have done?

Samuel had told Saul to wait seven days (1 Samuel 10:8), and he waited, but Samuel was late, and the people started to scatter from Saul. Therefore, he took it upon himself to make the sacrifice before they went into battle (1 Samuel 10:9).

However, the new king acted too early, and Samuel showed up, “Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him” (1 Samuel 13:10).

What would you have done, if Samuel had not shown up at the appointed time, and you saw your army starting to leave you?
