Giving thanks and blessing

As Jesus prepared to feed four thousand people, He took seven loaves of bread that His disciples had and some fish, and watch what He did and what Mark says Jesus did,

“So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them” (Mark 8:6-7).

Giving thanks for food equals blessing the food, as Paul also indicated (1 Timothy 4:4, 5).

If then we have not given thanks for our food, can it be said that the food is blessed? Do we want to eat unblessed food?

Also, see who is doing the feeding here, that it is the Lord, and let us learn that He continues to feed us daily, and for that we should give thanks.
