If you do the Lord’s work, He will provide for you

As the Lord Jesus trained the twelve apostles, He sent them out on a mission, and taught them to rely on Him,

“And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts—but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics” (Mark 6:7-9).

They were doing the work that He wanted done, and He would make sure that they had food, money, and anything else that they needed.

They were not to go out naked, but to wear sandals, although they were not to overdo it with their clothing.

Are you doing the Lord’s work? He will take care of you. That does not mean you will necessarily live in luxury, but you will have what you need.
