Blaspheming

After the scribes declared that Jesus cast out demons by the ruler of the demons, Jesus rebuked them, saying,

“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation’—because they said, ‘He has an unclean spirit’” (Mark 3:28-30).

God is so generous and so desirous of a relationship with us, that if we speak against Him or His Son, and later repent, He will forgive us, but if we become so hardened in our hearts that we can believe that Jesus was filled with Satan rather than the Holy Spirit, then we have shown that we have gone so far in self-righteousness that we can never be reclaimed.

Therefore, always keep your heart open to teaching from Scripture and you will never blaspheme the Holy Spirit.
