Picture yourself anointing the head of Jesus, as this woman did,
“And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table” (Matthew 26:6-7).
God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit, preparing Jesus for His ministry, but this woman anointed Jesus with oil, preparing Him for His death, as the rest of the narrative shows.
Also, did you see where this took place? Jesus was at the home of Simon the leper. Did that mean the man was still a leper, or that he had been and that is how people remembered him?
Either way, Jesus mingled among all people, the rich and the poor, male and female, the healthy and the unhealthy; in other words, He would have spent time with any of us, and we could have served Him as Simon did or as this woman did.
Now, you can serve Him by mingling among the same kind of people.
