Sometimes the things that we confront in life, or that confront us, are like boils that could heal and disappear, or become leprosy,
“If the body develops a boil in the skin, and it is healed, and in the place of the boil there comes a white swelling or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it shall be shown to the priest” (Leviticus 13:18-19).
Then the priest would examine it and if it was deeper than the surface of the skin, or if it spread, that person had leprosy (Leviticus 13:19-22).
“But if the bright spot stays in one place, and has not spread, it is the scar of the boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean” (Leviticus 13:23).
This illustrates well what happens in life many times. We have a problem of living, and it has the potential to do great damage, causing us to become unclean through sin, but if we turn to our High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, He can help us with our problems, and show us the way to go that we not become unclean.
