Presentation before the Lord

Concerning the law of peace offerings, the Lord said in part,

“The flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten. It shall be burned with fire. And as for the clean flesh, all who are clean may eat of it” (Leviticus 7:19).

Yet, if the person was unclean, and ate of the sacrifice of the peace offering, that person was cut off from the people (Leviticus 7:20).
The Lord added that any person who touched any unclean thing, and who then ate,
“the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, that person shall be cut off from his people” (Leviticus 7:21).
The Lord is holy, therefore, the Israelites had to be holy in whatever they did before Him, and the same holds true with us.

If we want to approach the Lord, we have to be holy.
