As the Lord commissioned Moses to go to Pharaoh and seek the release of the children of Israel, Moses objected, saying that he was not a good speaker,
“O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue” (Exodus 4:10).
Did Moses think that the Lord had not thought of that, and that the Lord did not know Moses as well as the Lord appeared to think, and that the Lord did not know how to get the job done?
“So the LORD said to him, ‘Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the LORD? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say” (Exodus 4:11-12).
The Lord knew the capabilities of Moses, and the Lord knew Moses better than he knew himself, and the Lord knew how to get the job done, and the Lord chose Moses for that job!
Has the Lord likewise placed an opportunity before you? Do not deny your ability, but follow His lead and do what you can. He will take care of the rest.
