Jacob thought he would never see Joseph again, believing that he was dead, and twenty-two years had passed, but then Jacob learned that his son was alive, and Jacob went down to Egypt to see his son.
Moses wrote briefly,
“So Joseph made ready his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; and he presented himself to him, and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a good while” (Genesis 46:29).
Although Moses did not say much about that reunion, he said enough that we can imagine in our minds what that reunion must have been like!
What shall the reunion be like when we see our loved ones again who have died in Christ? (See 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.)
