Quoting Scripture is good, but it does not mean you are right for doing so, as demonstrated by the devil who said to Jesus,
“If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ Jesus said to him, ‘It is written again, “You shall not tempt the LORD your God”’” (Matthew 4:6-7).
Jesus knew Scripture (since He is the Author), and although the devil quoted Scripture, Jesus knew that the devil misused it, and quoted a passage back to the devil.
By this method, Jesus avoided sin and became our perfect sacrifice. Praise God!
We can do the same thing, but we have to know Scripture and it takes a long time to be that familiar with it, yet, we can do it, and you are doing the right thing by reading and meditating in the Scriptures daily.
