Reading the first two chapters of Genesis is awe-inspiring, but someone wanted to ruin what God had created.
Satan, working through a serpent, approached the first woman, the mother of all living, and deceived her into believing that she could do the one thing God had forbidden to our first parents, and then the Bible says,
“So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate” (Genesis 3:6).
You talk about a game-changer!
The serpent appealed to her lust of the flesh, her lust of the eyes, and her pride of life, and she ate of the fruit, and she gave some to her husband who was with her, and everything changed.
They introduced sin into the world, and sin brought its friend death, and the world has never been the same, and from this verse the rest of the biblical story has to take place.
Sin might be small in our eyes, but be careful, even the smallest sin can ruin your life and the lives of others around you, even of those who come after you.
