In Isaiah 45, The Lord God promised to use Cyrus, a yet unborn king of Persia, to bless Israel, for this purpose,
“That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the LORD, do all these things” (Isaiah 45:6-7).
God wants the world to know Him, and He used ancient Israel and Persia to let the world today know Him.
He wants us to know that He creates the light and the darkness, peace and calamity.
What should we do with the knowledge that He is the responsible one for these things?
