Someone persecuted the psalmist, even to the point of death, driving the psalmist to God,
“But to You I have cried out, O LORD, and in the morning my prayer comes before You. LORD, why do You cast off my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?” (Psalms 88:13-14).
Turn to God when someone seeks you harm, and ask God when He is going to help. Do not challenge Him, nor question Him in the sense that you demand an answer, but present your request to Him.
Granted you may not have someone after you, but at some time or another death will threaten you. Cry out to God about it!
