Traveling quickly, but seeing the brethren

Paul rushed from Europe to Jerusalem to preach to the Jews there, nevertheless, he still made time to see the members of the church along the way, including when he arrived in Jerusalem, “And when we had come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly. On the following day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present” (Acts 21:17-18).

While he had a mission, Paul still wanted to meet with the church, especially the local leaders. He would not do anything without them, because the church played a prominent part in Paul’s life.

What part does it play in your life?
