Paul reminded the elders of the Ephesian Church that while among them, he served, “the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews” (Acts 20:19).
Paul did not play at Christianity. He did not spend his time planning play with the brethren. That man served the Lord in Ephesus with his life. He poured everything he had and everything he was into the work. He did not go to Ephesus to have fun.
He served the Lord although people tried to kill him. Did you hear what Paul said in that verse from Acts 20? The Jews plotted against him. They did not plot against him because he did fun things with the church, no, they sought his life because he served the Lord with his whole being.
How do you serve the Lord?
