How do you spend your time? When you die and people talk about you, what will they say you liked to do?
Luke told us how the Athenians and travelers to Athens spent their time, “For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing” (Acts 17:21).
They did not necessarily want to find the truth and stick with it, they just wanted to keep hearing new things. They were, “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:7). For them, the things Paul preached were just another new thing to hear.
