An enemy was after David, but it seemed that the Lord would not respond to David’s pleas for help. Therefore, he pleaded further with the Lord, saying,
Consider and hear me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death; Lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him”; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved. (Psalms 13:3-4)
David did not want to die with the thought that his enemy would rejoice, believing that he had prevailed over David.
What do you do when in a situation like that? Do what David did! Pray to God about it.
