Death Brings Abundance

After Greeks sought to see Jesus, He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain” (John 12:24).
The searching of the Greeks for Jesus, meant that His death rapidly approached, yet, as good as it was to have Jesus living on the earth, it would be better for Him to die, for then He would bring many sons and daughters to God, not only from the Jews, but from all the peoples of the earth.
He went on to teach that the same holds true for us, that we have to give up ourselves that we might truly live.
