The Fearless Jesus

Earlier the Jews wanted to stone Jesus, but He got away from them. After He heard of the terminal illness of His friend Lazarus, Jesus stayed in His location for two more days, “Then after this He said to the disciples, ‘Let us go to Judea again.’ The disciples said to Him, ‘Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?'” (John 11:7–8).
The disciples could not believe that He wanted to go back to the place where they wanted to stone Him. They may have thought He did not realize what He was doing, but He was fearless, and did not leave before because of fear, but it was an issue of timing. It was not His time to die yet.
Therefore, Jesus and His disciples went back to Judea that Jesus might do something wonderful for His friend Lazarus.
