A Family Grows

David saw his family grow. He already had a sizable family before moving to Jerusalem, but while there his family grew more, “Then David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David begot more sons and daughters. And these are the names of his children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet” (1 Chronicles 14:3–7).
Our families do not grow in same way, that is, through polygamy, yet, in most cases our families grow. What a joy to see that happen.
What a joy to see the church grow also! Have you contributed to the growth of your family? Have you likewise contributed to the growth of the church?
