A Man Who Refreshes the Spirit

Reading the Books of the Kings brings sadness because of the rebellion of most of the kings, but then from time to time we read something like this, “Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea the son of Elah, king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign. He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah. And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father David had done” (2 Kings 18:1-3).
Have you been reading First and Second Kings? If so, do you not find the quotation above refreshing?
People read the lives of others in the world. They see many wicked people, even as we see many wicked kings in our reading of the Scriptures. If you do right in the sight of the Lord, you shall refresh the spirits of all those people who are reading your life.
