Remember His Words

Remembering the words of Jesus will do much to rid your life of fear and sorrow, as it finally did for the women who had gone to the tomb of Jesus to tend to His body with spices. When they saw two men in shining garments, Luke shows us this, “Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, ‘Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ And they remembered His words” (Luke 24:5–8).
Then rather than having fear and sorrow, they ran to tell the apostles what had happened.
You read and meditate in the Scriptures, but now be sure to remember what you have put into your heart and mind by applying what you have read. You will feel better.
