Answered Questions

You have a question and you want it answered. Therefore, you go to someone whom you trust will know the answers. That is what the Queen of Sheba did, “So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for the king that he could not explain it to her” (1 Kings 10:3).
First, let me say this. Many people want to make the meeting between Solomon and the Queen of Sheba a sexual one, but nowhere does the biblical text hint at such an encounter. Time magazine once made the argument that such happened, and I wrote the magazine and they acknowledged their mistake.
Second, it was not so much Solomon who had the answers for her difficult questions, but God gave the king his wisdom. Yes, she had to go to Solomon, even as we go to Solomon or Paul or Jeremiah, but ultimately we are going to God for all the answers to life.
Do you go to Him for the answers you need?
