The Father Heeded the Voice of the Son

Saul did not take advice from anyone, but one time at least, he did listen to his son. Saul had his heart set on killing David, but Jonathan, the son of Saul, asked his father why he wanted to kill David, and that David had done good things for Saul.
Then the Bible says, “So Saul heeded the voice of Jonathan, and Saul swore, ‘As the LORD lives, he shall not be killed.’ Then Jonathan called David, and Jonathan told him all these things. So Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as in times past” (1 Samuel 19:6, 7).
Let us be like Saul, well, at least as far as this little episode is concerned, and be willing to listen to our children, or others to whom we generally have words of advice.
