Another Judge, Another Rescue

Judges 12:13–15 tells us of the judge Abdon, how many sons (40) and grandsons (30) he had, how long he judged Israel (8 years), and the place of his burial.
The Bible speaks of several judges in this manner, not telling us their stories, but we know the reason for the judges was that Israel had gone into idolatry, the Lord oppressed them for it, they repented, and He sent a judge to deliver them from their oppressors, and during the life of the judge, Israel remained faithful.
How many times has the church repeated this scenario in history? How many times have each of us done something similar, that is, today we are stronger, but tomorrow we might fall?
Determine to focus on the Lord everyday that you might remain faithful to Him regardless of the temptations of the day.
